Battle Royale Predictions: Batman vs. Punisher

Introduction
The Battle Royale Official Research Team is here to kick off it's first prediction blog after joining the show!

To kill or not to kill? That is the question. These two combatants are the embodiment of one of these traits. We have Batman, the Dark Knight from DC and Punisher, the "punishing" vigilante from Marvel. So, who would win?

Well there's only one way to find out!

Batman
Buttman.png
Background
Debut: 1939 (Detective Comics #27)
Age: 40
Sex: Male
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 180 lbs
Occupation: Vigilante
Backstory/History: Bruce Wayne was born to a life of wealth and privilege. But tragedy struck. When Bruce and his parents left a theatre and took a shortcut through Crime Alley, they were approached by a man with a gun. He shot both of Bruce’s parents dead. When he grew up, he swore that he would fight the mass injustice present in his home Gotham City. He traveled the world learning to fight. When he returned to Gotham, he donned the cape and cowl and became The Batman.

Weapons / Arsenal
Batarang: Miniature bat-shaped foldable boomerangs that Batman commonly carries a good amount of. He uses these as a non-lethal ranged alternative to firearms. The Batarangs act pretty much as boomerangs do, and are commonly used disrupt or disarm, or simply alert people of his presence. There are also many variations of the Batarangs, like Explosive Batarangs, Electric Batarangs, Thermal Batarangs (which can freeze even Clayface’s core), Magnetic Batarangs, Nth Metal Batarangs (basically DC’s version of Adamantium), Acid Batarangs, and Remote Controlled Batarangs.

The lenses also have special visions like infrared vision (heat sensors), night vision, and ultra violet vision. It also features defense mechanisms such as electric shock or stun gas in order to prevent unauthorized removal.

Additionally not only does Batman’s mask allow him to access comm-links to scan radios and other communication frequencies, but it also provides him a level of protection for his head against firearms. The front of the skull and sides of the temples also have small armor inserts to increase the effectiveness of skull strikes and protectection from concussive blows.

Batsuit.jpg
Batsuit
Since Batman has been around for over 75 years, the Batsuit has had varying amounts of protection throughout the years. The suit is generally made of kevlar, but can still be vulnerable to bullets if shot enough times. It is immune to electricity, and has an electricity system in it that shocks people trying to remove his cowl. It reduces shock and impact. It also has a magnetic harness, allowing Batman to attach himself to large metal objects like planes if needed. His cowl can also release powerful tear gas automatically, should anyone try to take it off.

Verdicts
Notadeadguy
Yo, Notadeadguy here, talking about who would win in a fight between Batman and the Punisher. Now these 2 are quite unique as in their respect universes, they are technically, the Normal Dude. They don't need no powers though to kick ass in a world full of superpowers. The only difference between them is the path of Justice they chose.

One followed the Path of Determination and became a Vigilante that roams Gotham. One that vowed never to spill blood to show that there's still humanity left in the world. But at the same time, he could be the worst criminal of all, for allowing scum to live.

While the other followed the Path of Wrath and lost his humanity. This man succumbed to his darkness and has become a monster that stops other monsters. Yet, capable of finishing jobs that no sane could ever fulfill: Exact punishment on those who deserve it.

They say that whoever wins gets to define justice, and the loser is the true evil.

Meaning whoever wins this, is the truly righteous one…

Sorry, didn't mean to get all poetic, anyway while these two are pretty even I’m going to have to say Batman for the win. Batman knows 127 Martial Arts and better at stealth meaning that the Punisher stands no chance in close combat considering that he only knows about 6-8.

But the Most important factor that should be that Batman has dealt with someone like Frank before. That person being Jason Todd, aka: The Red Hood.

The Red Hood is also a Crime Fighter who kills people for Justice. Considering that Batman has taken down  Red Hood before, Punisher will be no different.

Punisher however will give Batman hell as he’s no pushover himself and will probably use any opportunity he can to take down the Bat. So I believe that the Punisher will do something crazy to try and gain an advantage. Possibly an explosive because it's simple and strong but that's just a guess.

From what I’ve seen in the research, I simulated some scenarios in my head and pictured what would most likely happened

  1. The fight will start with long range projectiles with both sides not doing any significant damage
  2. They will fight hand to hand near the end with Batman gaining the advantage
  3. Batman will try to use stealth to gain the upper hand.
  4. Punisher will try something to lure Batman out, possibly something extreme like detonating the battlefield or using Pym particles to hide.
  5. I don’t know why but something will Blow Up. I feel it in my gut.

I can also see two ways of this ending:

  1. Batman beating down Punisher with a flurry of punches and finishing him off with an uppercut, incapacitating him.
  2. Batman’s on his knees, too weak to fight anymore, and the Punisher aiming a gun to the back of his head. The Punisher pulls the Trigger and Batman’s Dead

Like I said though, Ending #1 will most likely happen in my opinion

Nekroz of Mokey
HELLO MY MAGNIFICENT CHILDREN

IT IS NEKROZ OF MOKEY HERE, GONNA TALK ABOUT TWO FICTITIOUS CHARACTERS BRAWLING TO THE DEATH
OR INCAPACITATION
THAT WAS ALSO A DISCUSSED POSSIBILITY
MOSTLY DEATH
ANYWAYS
let's talk Bruce VS Frank

So far, as the current worst Battle Royale Researcher, who won the final slot in the auditions by a tiebreaker, and also has an unofficial prediction score of 0 correct and 2 wrong, (I am not on the wiki’s leaderboards.) I seem to have the least popular opinions on the fights. Here, well, it's kind of different. You see many similar opinions about the two than anywhere else.

When it comes to this fight, I would actually pick Frank.

The thing about Castle that makes me put him a cut above Wayne is that he has pretty consistently fought Spider-Man and Wolverine, not to mention also being able to shoot the latter in the dick, which are beyond what the Dark Knight has to offer.

It's not like everyone’s favorite not DC Vigilante is without high experience and intelligence feats, either. I don't think it's anything like Batman, but scaling to Wolverine and Spider-Man (well, to some extent) should already put him at a good leg-up. If you don't know, Spider-Man and Wolverine are accepted to be around town level relativistic. I was wondering if he truly should scale or not, but in the end I decided he likely does.

On the other hand, if Batman can knock him out, which, as Batman, is pretty easy to do, this would probably be an entirely different story, but looking at Punisher’s arsenal really shows that that's probably not going to happen. Spider-Man isn't the only web-slinger, and not only that, but Punisher’s definitely no stranger to psychological tactics to keep him on edge. (Although Batman has also fought opponents like that before)

So, in the end, I choose Frank.

Untitled by Nekroz-of-Mokey

Sweet dreams.

Desert Croc
In a classic battle between DC and Marvel, which enemy of crime will triumph over the other? Will Batman take the punisher down, or will he meet his end in attempting to do so? Here are my predictions on who would win, and how the fight will possibly play out.

Stat Battle
Weapons/Equipment
Draw.  Both combatants have a large arsenal and they each have their own uses for each of their equipment. However, I would have to give Batman the edge here. While the Punisher is loaded with guns, that is what his arsenal is mostly made up of. Guns. Batman, on the other hand, has a variety of gadgets that would help him in many different situations in the fight, so when it comes to a battle of equipment, I see Batman being able to pull through in the end.
Armor
The Punisher. Again, Batman does have some extra tricks built in his armor to aid him, but The Punisher’s armor is more durable. It can withstand bullets a lot longer than the Batsuit, not to mention that Batman’s attacks are generally non lethal, so if shotguns can’t even penetrate The Punisher’s suit, then Batman is going to have a tough time trying to do heavy damage to frank.
Strength
Draw. Bruce and Frank both have pretty impressive feats of strength. Since  the two combatants aren’t superhuman and have peak human strength, it is very hard for me to decide which one is stronger.
Destructive Capability
The Punisher. Generally speaking, both fighters have the same amount of attack potency, but when it comes to scaling, Punisher takes the cake. He has fought opponents such as Spider-Man, a hero with superhuman strength who is strong enough to casually bend a metal pipe as if it were made of paper. Of course we all know how that Death Battle turned out. That isn’t to say that Batman won’t win this because the Punisher has been able to hold his own against Spidey. Frank may have the edge, but it is by no means a large one. He is still a regular human, and Batman has dealt with opponents just as strong as Frank, such as Bane.

Punisher’s arsenal is also a lot more destructive than Batman’s. Just another slight advantage he has, but it isn’t enough to declare him the winner.
Durability
Draw. Batman is very durable for a normal human, but at the same time, so is the Punisher. They both have survived stuff that would kill the average human being. I’d probably have to give the edge to Batman though, since his durability feats are slightly more impressive.
Speed
Draw. Batman and the Punisher are both pretty fast and the speed feats they have proves this. However, the edge will go to Batman, since he has some speed feats that proves he can move faster than The Punisher. This means that Frank will have to do his best to constantly keep up with the Bat, which he should be able to do.
Intelligence
Batman. Do I need to say more? This guy is a genius! He takes out foes without the need for firearms and puts his gadgets to good use. He also analyzes the situation and exploits the weakness of his foe. The Punisher is still a great tactician, but he isn’t exactly known for his smarts, something that Batman is.
Experience
Batman. Sure, Punisher may have fought Spider-Man before, but as far as I know, he hasn’t fought a gadget heavy master of stealth such as Batman. On top of that, Bruce has fought opponents such as Red Hood, Deathstroke and Deadshot, all of which utilise guns. Frank is nothing new to him.
Skill
Batman. Let’s start off with the basics. First of all, Batman is a stealth master, to the point where even Superman has a hard time dealing with his stealth skills, so I’m certain The Punisher will have a tough time too. Also, Batman knows 127 different types of martial arts so in a fistfight, he is more likely to come out on top.
Advantages/Disadvantages
Let’s start off with the bat. He has the advantage in stealth, of course. The Punisher is going to have a hard time flushing him out of his hiding place. Not only that, but Batman has gadgets that will be very effective in the fight. In Batman: Arkham Knight, he has a gadget called the disruptor that disables the use of guns. This will come in handy against the Punisher, as he could use it to render some of his guns useless. The disruptor only has about 2 or 3 uses so he won’t be able to get rid of all of Frank’s guns with it, but he could still take out his most destructive firearms first. After that, he would probably have to disarm Frank of the rest of his guns. I can imagine him doing this with his grapple gun and whatever gadgets he has available. His stealth skills are going to come in handy here.

Now does the Punisher have a chance of winning? The answer is yes, and here’s why. First of all, if he hits batman enough times with his guns, he will eventually wear him out as the batsuit is not fully immune to bullets. Also, even if Frank’s armor wears out overtime too, it will still hold out against most of Batman’s attacks. Like I said earlier, Batman is a non-lethal fighter, and Frank’s armor can withstand attacks that would have been lethal to him if he wasn’t wearing it, such as shotgun blasts. Therefore, Batman is going to have to use his brains and think of a way to take out the Punisher with what he has available. Frank’s head is wide open, so he could aim for that, or use one of his electrical gadgets to shock him.
Conclusion
I want to end by saying that this fight is extremely close. Both Batman and the Punisher are skilled combatants who have achieved what no normal human being can just simply do. I can see this battle going either way, but I do have to choose who I think will win, and I will do just that.

I predict that Batman will be the winner of this fight.

Why Batman? Well, Bats has fought opponents similar to Frank before, so he would  know what to do. Not only that, but he is also smarter, has better variety and is more skilled in hand-to-hand combat. It won’t be an easy win though, the Punisher will give him hell, that’s for sure. However, being the genius that he is, I’m sure Bruce will eventually figure out a way to defeat the Punisher while staying hidden, and knock him out cold when he gets the chance to do so.

In conclusion, I think the Dark Knight will be the one to punish Frank tonight.

Batman vs Punisher!--- The next upcoming episode of Battle Royale to premiere after Samus Aran vs Mega Man and White Ranger vs Leonardo

A brutal battle that will determine which of these iconic crime-fighting vigilantes to grace the pages of comic books will win. I am one of your Battle Royale researchers, HeroicDefender97 and I will give you my thoughts on who I believe would win.

Now who do I think would win?--- Now this is an extremely tough one and by far the closet match in Battle Royale in my opinion.

Both Batman and Punisher have feats and calcs that place them in the same tier as both of these vigilantes have Multi-City Block Level Destructive Capacity/Striking Strength and Massively Hypersonic+ speed feats. Although Punisher may slightly take the physicality advantage for being able go toe to toe with Town Level folks like Spider-Man and Wolverine, and his arsenal being overall far more lethal then Batman's. On the flip side, Batman would slightly take the speed advantage as he has shown to often move consistently faster more or so then Punisher, than there is also the fact that he likely scales to fellow DC street leveler, Katana who's combat and reaction speed was calced to be over Mach 1200+ for being able to fight and react accordingly within a split second time-frame. And Batman was often on par with if not superior to the latter. However it doesn't mean that Punisher is far too behind in speed as he still has scaling from Hawkeye and Black Panther's Mach 5000-9000+ microsecond feat. But overall they're about dead even when it comes to physicality and speed with slight differences.

Which now comes down to how each one applies their tactics and equipment to great effect to effectively counter one another. Bats and Punisher are widely known for executing their tactics with methodical and calculative precision, once again making them equals when it comes to tactical prowess as both are capable of planning ahead of time to outplay the other. But if I had to choose between these two on who will prevail. I believe that winner is going to be---

Batman...

The Dark Knight has almost every answer to one of the Skull Vigilante's toys and tactics. Batman's variety of gadgets and equipment can easily distract and disarm Punisher to rob him of his advantages each and every time. Plus with Punisher having no real counter to his stealth skills and coupled with Bat's arguably faster reaction speed, the Caped Crusader will be able to out-calculate and get the jump on the vigilante from around every corner at unpredictable angles and even if Punisher attempts to hide to plan out an ambush, Batman's advantage on the high ground with his grapple gun will allow him to see Punisher before he (Punisher) sees him thanks to the night-vision and heat sensors built into his mask. Along with that, Bat's technological shifting lenses in the mask is capable of analyzing it's opponents as well as the environment to exploit any potential weaknesses and environmental hazards to use against his foes to turn the tides of battle should it not go in his favor.

And what nails it on the coffin that convinces me that Batman will be able to pull a victory against Punisher is the fact that he's similar foes throughout his career such as Red Hood and Deathstroke (granted Slade constantly always beats him, but he has consistently been an equal match to Slade). So most of the Punisher's tactics and weapons would likely surprise him. However I wouldn't be surprised Punisher manages to win as he has the physicality, tactical ingenuity, deadlier arsenal,  and comparable speed to compete with the Dark Knight. And it's entirely possible that Punisher could find a way to completely flush out Bat's from his hiding place and once he's exposed with nowhere else to hide, he'll be able hammer down on him from there.

But at the end of the day. My vote still has to go to Batman because of his sheer versatility, stealth skills, and arguably superior reaction speed...

I've always seen the idea of Batman vs Punisher being thrown around here and there, and honestly this is a match where I don't see Punisher winning. Sure Punisher will put up a tough fight, but I feel Bat's better defenses, intelligence, fighting styles, stealth, and his victories against opponents greater than the ones Punisher deals with on a daily basis will ultimately triumph. This is looking to be a bad night in this castle. Eh?

HeroOfTheEmblem

IT IS TIME TO PREDICT SHIZZ!!

Okay, with that opening line out of the way, HeroOfTheEmblem here. In this wonderful little doohickey, I'm gonna be giving a prediction for the result of Battle Royale's second (third if you count Mega Man vs Samus) episode. I am one of the people of the team that does all the research that you probably don't want to do, so don't worry, I have you covered with all the info you'll need to decide a winner of this bout. And without further ado, let's begin!

So, a battle between Batman and The Punisher sounds pretty epic, doesn't it? The Dark Knight vs The Skull Vigilante... I can see it now... It would be an epic fight to lead to the brutal finish! But I know why you all came to this page, it's to see who I think would win the match! So, let's run through some basics here.

Both Batman and Punisher have a crap ton of feats. (I swear, feats take up half of our research document) Both of them have been able to show strength feats that easily surpass Multi-City Block level. Both have also been able to show absolutely massive speed feats. I'm not talking Flash speed, DC and Marvel aren't that insane. Let me remind you that this is probably one of the hardest matches to research, so bear with me during this. I think Punisher is likely the better hand-to-hand combat fighter, mostly because of being able to go against people like Spider-Man. Good lord, I like Spider-Man. This doesn't mean that Batman can't go hand-to-hand as well, that's what some people know him for. I mean, the original Batman cartoon opening shows that quite well with some added hyperboles. On the other hand, Batman is likely far more intelligent than the Punisher, proof being that he has been able to forms plan on how to defeat each member of the Justice League in case they decided to turn to evil. They seem about even in the speed factor, having some pretty close feats, like Batman likely scaling to some of the quickest people in DC, Punisher scaling to some of the fastest Marvel characters as well.

Now, just to keep this thing short, I'm gonna cut to the chase: I think Batman would win. Cue the nanananas.

I personally believe that Batman would win because he practically has an answer to almost anything that Punisher throws at him. To name an example, the Batsuit being resistant to electricity is a perfect counter to the Satan Claw, one of Punisher's strongest weapons. The Multi Function Binoculars of Batman's are also the perfect counter to Punisher shrinking down using the Pym particles. Also, as I stated earlier, Batman has the intelligence to find a way to defeat anyone in the Justice League, including Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Superman. SUPERMAN. The guy that flew through a Red Sun! I already think that these alone are more than enough to defeat the Punisher, so my vote goes to Batman for this one.

The first fight for Battle Royale research team wooooooo!

Okay but seriously, I'm hyped. And I'm just gonna say this right away, I think Punisher is gonna win. This is gonna be short and simple so here we go!

While I will agree that Batman is more experienced, smarter, and has gadgets that could keep up with Punisher, I think Punisher will still overpower the Dark Knight with his incredibly superior speed and power. Town level Mach 5000 is all he kind of needs to beat Batman, at least in my opinion. This especially holds since Batman won't get prep time, sooooo, yeah.

Les go research team boiz.
